Assalaam'aaleykum!

Wilayat is something which nobody can claim to have achieved. Someone who dares to make such claim hasn't even reached the dehleez of Wilayat.

What we all can and should do is to strive as much as we could and let Allah decide who does He accept as His wali.

reminds me of the poem br Rahmaniyyah had posted a few weeks ago..

"Mit mit kar mit ja, faqeera, mit mit kar mit ja"

I just want to say though that although we should not consider ourselves wali, but we should not lose the hope that Allah Ta'aala may consider us to be His wali.

After all, He knows best which deed of ours He loves. It could even be the fake crying just because real tears won't come.

May Allah Ta'aala accept us all as His friends. Ameen
