My sheikh has spoke about this subject and mentioned a few things regarding the noor which emmonates from certain people.

1.How can one see this noor?

The more a person detaches onesself from this world, the more aspects of the ghaib are revealed to them. The less you care about seening these things the more you will see. But some people (Muslim or not) are born with the ability to see these things without any spiritual cleaning. An example of this is a friend of mine who took shahadah when he was 15 and his whole life before and after Islam he can see the Noor of most people. he says some people have a strong light while othres have it weak, He has also seen many Jinns and other terifying things. He once was sitting next to me in Jummah when all of a sudden he started to tremble, sweat perfusely, and breathe hard. Afterwards I asked him why and he said standing next to the Khatib was a Huge beast and it wouldnt go away until the Adhan was called.

I have seen many people who eminate Noor, and like one other person explained, its as if there is a flouresant light shining on them, and them alone.
Once I sat in a halaka dikr circle after maghrib and many of the peoples faces were eminating light as if it were mid day. And I know it wasnt just a reflection of light off light skin because one of the brothers was a very dark complected African American.

I have also seen the opposite effect of darkness on a persons face. This person came to Jummah and i hadnt seen him for a while. I noticed this strange darkness on him as if he were constantly in a shadow everywhere he moved. After Jummah I asked him if everything was ok and he told me he had gotten heavily into drugs and wanted to get clean.

As far as different colors of Noor, My sheikh has said certain colors are Jilali and Jihadi while othres are Jamali. I never asked him about the specific colors or there meanings.
