Doesn't it mean that the group of people that think "any group of people that form a shared consensus of opinion are overwhelmingly wrong." is overwhelmingly wrong, too?

"magazines devoted to straight culture"? Are you talking about MAXIM, FHM (...long list...) ?
As for the humor... I really don't think insulting others is funny...well, it's up to everyone's taste.
