I also noticed that his opponent is also pro life, which further begs the question, why was it ever brought up in the first place? If two candidates are pro life, then it is not an issue. I am sure there are plenty of issues to talk about like jobs, foreign policy, and the budget.

To say he was asked the question by the media, that is true. However, it was his choice has to how he answered it. Of all the answers he could have given, from "I am pro life, it speaks for itself" to a hundred others, he chose this one.
