Hitler didn't use nearly the amount of WMDs that Saddam did.

Can you back up this?
In any case, what is clear is that when the USA entered the war, Hitler was still a huge threat(unlike, say, another mustached dictator). And he did had WMDs and there are many reports that he was ACTUALLY developping nuclear bombs.
