Well, I can think of at least a couple of reasons:

1) Saddam Hussein, as the Democrat Party leaders said, was in violation of various UN resolutions.

And has been for years. So this reason was never adopted by the administration because?

2) Saddam Hussein, as the Democrat Party leaders said, was apparently busily developing WMDs.

And they were wrong...as were the Republicans who said the same thing. Of course I don't remember the Democrats citing as the reason to go to war time after time.

3) None of the Democrat Party leaders said they were opposed to invading Iraq.

And if you held a gun to my head, would it be might fault if you shot me because I didn't say not to?

4) None of the Democrat Party leaders stepped forward and proposed we invade some other country instead of Iraq.

Who cares? Just because the Democrats didn't say something doesn't mean that the administration shouldn't have enough sense to do it themselves. For thinking that the Republican party is full of intelligent leaders you sure seem to be in support of using the Democrats as your crutch.

5) The Democrat Party leaders said they were concerned about the terrorist training camps in Iraq.

I never heard this. I request a source.

6) The Democrat Party leaders said they were concerned about the human rights violations that were occurring in Iraq.

Concern != war. Concern usually means "let's be diplomatic about this".

So I guess your question becomes, "Why didn't the Democrat Party rank and file scream bloody murder at the Democrat Party leaders when their Democrat Party leaders in Congress were busy saying all those things??" [/QUOTE]
My dad actually daily rails on the Democratic leaders for all the stupid shit they say. Doesn't mean that his ideals which are aligned with the Democrats have to be compromised. It's almost comical how most Democrats overlook the stupid shit their leaders say as much as the Republicans ignore how inarticulate the president is.
