Regarding IRAQ, We came here to get rid of Saddam, and then restore order (We have failed) and to help set up a new government. OK,
Elections will be held in December. We will be here to help secure an orderly Vote. But then in my opinion, we should leave.
Yesterday, 37 Iraqis (at last count) were cilled by suicide bombers, plus around 80 wounded It is obvious that this was not our doing, and also, that we could not hinder it from happening.
It has been shown that the new government (such as it is) is already very corrupt, and viciously authoritative. This will not improve with our presence. The terrorists are well entrenched ii Iraq, and we will be no more able to route them out, than we could in Viet Nam, There, you didn't know whether the person sitting next to you was friend or foe. and the same thing is true here. It seems apparent the the majority want us out of Iraq. We have worn out our welcome.
Yesterday, there were also 6 US "NEEDLESS" service fatalities . One is too many. The insurgents sharpshooters have learned to aim just below the helmets of out personnel thus bypassing their armor, and have come up with sofisticated roadside bombs which actually shoot armor pericing projectiles. We don't need this, and we did not sign on for this, And we don't need any more filled body-bags. AND IF THIS ISN'T ENOUGH,
We need our home guard "HOME" to help our Nation in it's time of need, considering Katrina, Rita, and Wilma.
