HUDSON=== I assume that your comment referrred mainly to clinton. If you had Digested my comments, with the notable exceptions of Nixon and Da Shrub, you can see that I have been far harder on the Dems, than the reps In fact, I suspect that I will have no choice but to vote republican in 2008.

Now to Clinton. To me, other than the Absolute STUPIDITY of getting impeached( he should never have answered their questions about Monica, and should have told them it was none of their damn business) -the thing that galled me was the selling of the Lincoln Bedroom.(And an affront to all of us) That was unforgivable. As for the rest, Please tell me which president hasn't made "Unintentional" mistakes.
I have reread your post and still do not see you going against Dems more than reps. In fact, I see the exact opposite. Nixon was a master at foreign policy. We can look at him ending the Vietnam War, opening trade with China and recognizing PRC and the "One China, 2 Systems" philosophy, START treaty, and others. You may disagree with his style, but you cannot agrue that his foreign policy was a failure.

BTW: One of the things I love about Clinton was during a news conference when he asked a reporter to define "sex." The problem you have is that Clinton and Nixon are so similar in style of leadership that you cannot grasp the concept that Nixon was, for the most part, a very good president. Take away the Watergate affair, and you have one who was a very accomplished politician.
