For anyone that cares, Lavasoft has stopped encouraging Adaware SE and has a brand new edition out, Ad Aware 2007. The free variation are available here I've not saved or attempted it yet but from what I've read, it ties into Windows today and doesn't help anything sooner than Windows 2,000. A disadvantage so far as I'm anxious (the tying in with Windows part).
