Still no explanation on how migrants without a right to vote could influence democratic politicians to sell legit democratic voters out.

This one is easy. We have a large population of Mexican-American citizens and if, say the Republican Party closes the borders, then the Mex-Ams will vote Democrat and the other way around. With the last two races being so close, neither party can afford to alienate a large bloc of voters.
