Yeah, Democrats never engage in any of that....

Someday, you will see that both parties do exactly the same things.

But the underlying philosophies of the two parties make the GOP more inclined to engage in corrupt activities at the expense of the American people.
The Democratic philosophy that government is an important part of the solution to today's problems, encourages a wiew of government as a competant organization that has long term goals and is a vital ongoing enterprise.
This promotes the appointment of competant individuals to key management positions and calls for long term fiscal stability.

The Republican philosophy that government is the problem, leads to the appointment of loyal, ideologically selected people to key management positions who don't necessarily have any other qualifications. It also encourages the treasury to be looted for short term political gain, as the GOP does not view government as something that must survive for the long term. Indeed, mismanagement of government boosts the ideological agenda of the GOP, as it makes the government even more of a "problem" than a "solution".
