A tool that shows exactly what a individual recognizes by deciphering their brain activity might soon be considered a truth, say scientists who've created a far more advanced method to remove visual stimuli from brain impulses. Boffins at the University of California, Berkeley, US, developed a model that employs functional MRI (fMRI) data to decode data from a person's visual cortex the area of the mind accountable for processing visual stimuli. Substantial advances are made by "our research towards having the ability to decode psychological material from brain activity as assessed utilizing fMRI," Kendrick Kay, a co-author of the analysis, told
New Scientist
. "In reality, our results suggest it might soon be possible to restore our aesthetic experiences from mind activity."
