Default Republican appointee blames Democrats at Republican commitee(Brown).
Former FEMA director Michael Brown aggressively defended his role in responding to Hurricane Katrina on Tuesday and put much of the blame for coordination failures on Louisiana Gov. Kathleen Blanco and New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin. http://www.cnn.com/2005/POLITICS/09/....ap/index.html

To me, this is really disappointing. The Hurricane Katrina investigation is going to be run by congressional republicans, so of course its going to be a partisan hack job on local democratic leaders. Congress won't allow an independant investigation, for obvious reasons... The federal government blew it in Louisiana and New Orleans.

I was really hoping for a serious inquiry into what went on, unfortunately it looks like this is the best we're gonna get.
