Yep, it sure looks like the jig is up. The House Appropriations Committee voted 62-2 to block the Dubai deal. Given that there are 36 Repubs on the committee, at least 34 of the 36 voted to block it. Wait til they find out that they fell for a ploy by the Dems to steer the operation contracts to Maher Terminals, a company that operates the container terminal at Port Elizabeth and is not remotely big enough to handle operations at 6 ports. Man, are they going to feel played when they realize that Maher is a big supporter of Menendez and the DNC. No doubt Bush will be furious, and will will return the $16,000 in contributions Maher Execs made to to his campaigns in 2000 and 2004. Let the fireworks begin.
