The problem I see with the Democrat party today is that it has to many people like Dean, Polosi and Ted who seem to have gone over the deep end and are not in tune with the average American person. The Republican party on the other hand is quick to remove extremists. The Democrat party is too diverse catering to too many interest groups. This makes it too difficult for the Democrat party to change from within. The only hope I see for the Democrat party to ever regain the majority is for it to come back to the middle. To do this Dean, Polosi and Kennedy must go, replace by moderates. Then you might have a chance to regain the trust of the American people.

Look at Spadplanter's avatar. Would ever want that guy as your President?
The problem with that is that the definition of the "middle" is completely arbitrary.
