As much local independence as possible sure, but only when it comes to laws that are actually depending on local conditions, wich most state laws are not. Neither are the court and prison systems.


Crime is different in different regions. What works in New York City won't work in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and vice versa.

When you travel from one American state to another you dont know your rights or when you are breaking the law, unless you want to read the constitution and lawbooks for every state you enter. I would personally find that werry disturbing!


That slippery slope leads to one world law.
