Wow! I was just thinking, reading this, that Thank God we have the Constitution. What's this trend with all the Europeans and Canadians telling us how bad our country is and blessing us with their utopian vision of how we could make it perfect? I think some of these holier-than-thou types need to take a look at Europe. It's pretty much a fucked up place right now. I don't see any shining examples from over there.

That may be true, BUT There is a cliche which goes like this

"You can't see the forest for the trees."

It would seem that the american public can't, or at least is not looking past the first tree. I am a Staunch American, but I can still see the problems. Just because other countries have similar problems doesn't mean that those problems should not be pointed out (by whom-so-ever). Nor does it mean those problem do not exist, or are less problematic for us.
