Freedom is like sugar.

Too much sugar will kill a person. Too much freedom will kill a society.

That's a flawed analogy. I'd say that freedom is like water; it is a natural thing, and essential for human life, but occasionally some fool drowns in it. However, that doesn't mean that we should reduce the world's supply of it.
