Stay focused on school, and if Kendo (or clothes, or cars, or...) can't be afforded until later in life - so be it. DO NOT work to have "fun money" and struggle in school because of it.

Most of the time, life is about setting priorities.
I'm totally with Paikea. Think about the that you stay focus in school now... you'll get a nicer paying and easy office job later (I sit around and post stuff during my work hours at work). And you bet I worked hard for this. I don't have rich parents either, I paid for my own college, even the loans were took out from my mom's name; I'm paying them also. Finally I get to do all the stuff I want now, like Kendo, video games *drools*, buy things you've always wanted. And you're even luckier than me, since you have already been practicing and you sound quite young. Practice at home and keep it up. It's never too late to pick up Kendo again late in life if you're intending to go back. Money... I can't give you, but that's my piece of advice
