Well my mate he lives in east end of glasgow and its one of the worst knife areas in Glasgow(in Scotland), which has higher murder rate than Belfast and 1100 knife attacks in 2003. You can't get a gun to defend yourself unless your involved in crime and theres a lot of sword attacks as well. The particular area he lives in is extremely dangerous and he is financially stuck to it.
So codes of honour slow you down? Are they particularly heavy? Perhaps they have a high drag co-efficient. Interesting question you've thrown up. Well i went to karate once and i couldnt stand all the stuff about salutation and some guys are "higher" than others as in black belts and shit and i thought that it was a kind of ego trip, whereas in boxing you just train and spar and learn and no one gives a shit they just try to improve and become better boxers. So i was wondering if sword fighting places are like this.
