Fresh leaves decay faster, in one to two months. Dry leaves decompose more slowly, and dry soil will not rot for half a year. More water will speed up russian food near me the rot, which is fertilizer. The time it takes for leaves to decay depends on the environmental conditions in the soil, such as humidity, temperature, moisture, microbes, and how dry or wet the leaves are.
