I hear, if you fold 1000 paper cranes, a wish you make will come true.

That's called a tsen-ba-tsuru

After the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki there was a girl in one of the hospitals because of the radiation illness and she started to fold the 1000 cranes, which according to the tradition should be folded in the same room, sadly she passed away before she finished them and friends or family finished them for her and if I'm not mistaken they were placed in a temple.

I passed for my NOA(Nippon Origami Assosation) exam at age 16 and I'm still doing origami, I might still have some stuff scanned in which I was planning to clear up but I'm not sure about this, send me a PM. I'm at the office now.
