Default Shoulder inury
Hi all,

June 2004 I've fallen onto my right shoulder during an Aikodo class with my full weight, about 230lbs. I only took some rest and februari 2005 I've started kendo practise without pain.
The only thing I couldn't do anymore was sleep on my right side anymore something I took for granted. Now about 4 weeks ago I fell on my shoulder again during a seizure which caused me to loose strength and controll in my right arm. It's slowly comming back but everything is still painfull.

I'm seeing a physio therapist but I'm affraid he doesn't know enough about kendo specificly.
I do know he's good as he managed to find all sore spots without hurting me too bad like some butcher therapists would.

He thinks that the tendons which hold the arm in place are too long which is causing me pain, like if there is a whining lil kid in my arm.

Now to complicate things, I'm allergic to most painkillers like asperine and ibuprofin which means I can only take paracethamol or paracethamol with codeine if the pain gets really bad.

Has any of you had an injury like this?

If so how long could something like this take?

What kinda exersizes are there to keep my kendo up so I don't drop back too far? (I haven't been to the dojo yet because I've been too busy with my new job but notified them thru email)

Thanks in advance

Lars
