He thinks that the tendons which hold the arm in place are too long which is causing me pain, like if there is a whining lil kid in my arm.

I dont quite understand the relation between too long tendons and pain resulting directly from having too long tendons. I myself have too long tendons holding any joint in my body and never had pain directly caused by that. Unless I made some weird movement that caused the pain.
Maybe I just miss something in your explanation; could you please elaborate on that?

Shoulder is a very complex joint; take care of it well. What helped me alot is strengthening the area for extra control of it. Not bodybuilding live in the gym type, but just some extra training.

I hope you already went to a doctor - although in my case it didnt help much. Maybe get some picture taken. My fysio is also a "manuele therapeut" (sorry didnt know the word in English) and a good one I might add. Go see one of those.
