I would suggest a driving tour of the Southwest and Rocky Mountain areas, Grand Canyon, Painted Desert, Petrified Forest, Yosemite National Park, Rocky Mountains etc.
Prettiest places on this earth.

I second Ignatz here, I went there with my parents about 12 years ago and keep wonderful memories. Don't forget Arches park and monument valley !
