Bah, the French played like crap, that pisses me off. We gave the Argies all their ammo, and missed our chance of sticking back by penalty kick twice. Hope they'll do better. On the other hand, that's less than nothing compared to what happens to the poor Italians right now. That much hurt !
I do not agree on this one because I think that there's a big difference between a team like France, third in the IRB world's ranking, hoster of the event, among the favourites and expected to reduce his opponent to shreds (Argentina is sixth in IRB world's ranking); and Italia, ninth in the IRB world's ranking, who never made it out of the starting pools, facing an opponent way too strong and titled (New Zealand is first in the IRB world's ranking).
The only complaint on Italia's side is to have lose with such a difference, sixty-two points are way too much, but the tactic was evident as engaging too seriously would have resulted in possible injuried players. Plans are to win against Portugal and Romania and then play the access to the second stage against Scotland, that will be a 50% - 50% match with both teams playing to the last try.
Getting back to France, with also Ireland in the same pool along with Argentina, who already won against them, who knows which teams will make it to the second stage?
