after having not seeing this kid in our dojo for awhile.. he came this week. then again, he might have been there when i wasn't. anyway, we had about 20 new people showing up and i took more experienced people aside to give them something to do while my sempai, mike w, was going over things with new people. the kid got lot better with him timing, but he was keep hitting my with is shinai. first it was hitting my head for men, then my wrist.. told him about tenouchi, and told him to control his shinai. that worked for him rather well.

i always wear kote pad while doing kihon geiko. that way, it's lot less distracting when someone try to cut my hand off with their shinai.
