As for Unix, Linux and Solaris and all their flavours, they are great, but lets face it, you need to have a computer science degree or lots of experience to use them, not really for the average Joe consumer market.

You need to try Ubuntu then.
If you do not have the skills to install the miracle and the wonder that is Ubuntu,
-step slowly away from your pc, and then smash it with a hammer.
