The pan cake was around an inch or so thick. And it had split apart, so I had PLENTY of room not to touch the pan.

Whoa, that's odd. You shouldn't have gotten a shock then if all you did was pick it up then. Gee... And it was just your finger that got the shock? If so, that's some super-charged waffle pancake! Holy cow!! It's got super powers!

They sucked, to dry. Awwww, what a bummer. I guess the batter is just too different from pancake batter. Oh well.
