Alternatively you could deep fry it. So you'll be clogging your arteries faster than a hachidan's kirikaeshi, but at least you'll have a nice, big cooked bird!
No more deep frying. I'm still on the "list" for setting the parking lot at work on fire a few years ago.

Time to sing the "Death by Misadventure" song!

I was thinking to build a smoker. I saw some plans for building one out of some big ceramic pots, I think it could work. Mmmmm, smoke meat! Luckily I learned about the "Do Not Throw A Sleeping Bag Over The Smoker To Speed Up Cooking" rule from my dad, when he burned down the the back of the house many years ago. So we've got that covered. Or, in this particular case, not covered.
