I also think there are different types of intelligence, such as the very book-smart people who have little social skill (or conversely the social butterfly who doesn't know how to complete simple math). I don't know - I think some people put too much emphasis on arbitrary measures of intelligence with no real consideration of the larger picture.
Tesla was one of the greatest mind,yet he wasn't very social and for that he could not find enough sponsors for his projects.

Also there is a difference between intelligence and gained knowledge.
Not anyone can raise to their potential due to behavior problems or unfortunate circumstances.(wealth or environment)
