I have been thinking about having a go at fencing. The sabre interests me, and I have this idea that I would like to be familiar with a legitimate Western sword art, though I am committed to Kendo. The university that I am wanting to go to this Fall has a fencing club that welcomes beginners and supplies equipment, so it would be easy to try.

Does anybody here practice fencing as well as Kendo? Does anybody here think casually fencing would harm my practice of Kendo?
