club fencing was a serious sport involving daily practices with lots of cardio and strength training. So, unless I'm wrong, "casually" is not a real option.
I honestly had not even considered that. I've been in contact recently with the club of the university that I'm transfering to, and they've said they practice three or four times a week, and are looking to host their own tournament soon. Maybe I should see if that uni has it as an athletics elective (my current community college does, I think), and learn about it that way so I wouldn't be getting in the way of their serious practice?
