Actually, I wasn't that bothered either way. I just felt that you were ripe for teasing so I went for it. And boy do you do the 'hook, line and sinker' routine.

I didn't know this and maybe it does justify his reaction to a large degree. Still not sure about repeatedly threatening to "kick his arse"!. Perhaps with hindsight he should have actually re-set all the lights anyway as he threatened to do. That would have been a more appropriate response. Childish and silly perhaps - but appropriate. I disagree. Messing with the DoP[e]'s lights would be unprofessional. Throwing a tantrum may seem inappropriate, but it's likely to get the job done [the job of taking the DoP to task for screwing up repeatedly] without wasting any more time.

And while screaming at somebody like that is assaholic, it's a giant step away from physical assault (ie, hitting someone with a telephone). I wouldn't rate that rant as "terroristic threatening" either (which is a felony offense in most states). Just a dude blowing his top at another dude.
