Addendum: I'm sure it varies from state to state (definition of "terroristic threatening," as well as severity of the crime). Some states may be more or less strict, and penalties may be very different. Most laws seem to be that way. Castle doctrine being prime example. Gun laws, etc. Back home was open carry was legal, may still be, and I think concealed carry may still be legal without a permit. Here in Hawai'i you have to register every firearm, can't technically stop off at the gas station to or from the hunting grounds with firearm in vehicle, can't transport firearms for any other reason, etc.
