I did about 3 months of highly in depth research before i bought mine,
Based on price point, scalability, upgrade capacity, picture quality and power consumption.
I learned more than I ever want to know about it, and glad it's over.

I settled on this:

Olevia 2 Series

Normally I would not buy such a high ticket item from Targe'e, but they have a really excellent warranty.
For 70 bucks, three years no matter what the problem, they give you a new one.

6 months later, the set is going strong I'm still loving it.
