I could never really warm up to her, but I do like the 1960's Lena Horne.

Below is a link to a great clip. It's eerily beautiful... just heavenly. 1965 Lena Horne in duet with Perry Como singing songs made famous by Nat King Cole.

It's sad to think that popular prime-time television could once do things like this... but never will again.
