Mike McHugh of Front Royal, president of the Virginia Gun Owners Coalition, said Allen's bill makes sense. He says people should be allowed to defend themselves in remote areas.

Yeah, cuz you know, those animals that we see most of the time in those remote areas like deer, chipmunks, squirrels, raccoons, owls, daddy long legs, etc are just all out to get us. .

If you go camping enough times you will realize that probability of encountering a bear in most of these areas is very remote. Parks with a higher risk or incidence of these possibly dangerous encounters should warn you and allow you to bring a tranquilizer gun or something that will not be fatal to these animals.
