D13, the same thing Zip said is what threw me off.

Go back and read your first post. It starts out as if it was a news article copied and pasted on the page.

The things that were missing, though, were a link and an authors name, so I did not know if that WAS the article or if you were writing your reaction.

If it WAS the article, it would have been a low credibility "shock and awe" sensationalistic kind of article intended to get people's attension, get them angry, and sell magazines/papers/internet ad space.

If it was YOUR response to a story, it was kind of hard to say anything about since you did not provide the link to the original, so I had nothing to go on.

What if I were to write right now how horrible it is for someone to go around killing puppies? What if I got all angry and started using many !!!!!!! to express my distaste for this, but yet did not provide any link?

Even if I never claimed it happened, it would be difficult to know what the heck was going on. Was it something that happened? Is this just an opinion I had after watching a movie? Is this just a rant about something I feel is bad?

Just take a few steps back from your emotions. You seem to get all caught up in them when anything comes close to questioning you, and LOOK at the question itself. All I was asking for is source.

As for your reaction? I don't think anyone will say that what these kids did was NOT wrong, but somehow getting that angry over something like that, and end result with little influence over the country at large, seems a bit extreme.

Am I saying you should not be angry? No, but that LEVEL of emotion has NEVER done anyone any good. It is easily misdirected and god forbid if anyone mistakenly stepped in its way (say, a wrongly accused) they would pay dearly for something they did not have anything to do with.

As for posting on here? I am not 100% against posting artcles like this, but most of us here do not come on and post a flaming bag of poo and then proceed to jump all over it and expect anyone else to slap us on the back and say "thanks". Dropping a firebomb and ranting about it doesn't do much good. You may want to take a few steps back and start taking a look at the kids histories, their connections, and what may have failed them rather than yelling about the action itself.
