Notice how on this timeframe where CEO pay increased 10 fold there has been a dramatic obliteration of the private sector's sponsored employee retirement programs. At least we can follow that money trail.

Fact of the matter is that this debacle was combusted by disproportinate bonuses that occlude peoples judment, rationality and most importantly, foresight. The benefits of getting short term gain to obtain your instantenous bonus =they keep the money and we have to foot the bill.

These mules chasing these carrots led them to obliviously walk off a cliff. Unfortunately, these mules were pulling the US economy and took it down with them.
