C-Span broadcast a recent press conference, in which President Bush was specifically asked about the Saudi rape case. The President dodged the question, and said simply, "they know where we stand" or some such drivel.

It would have been nice had he said something like, "The treatment of this woman is an affront to civilized people the world over, and the Saudi government needs to correct this inhumane treatment immediately."

It makes me sick that we buy one drop of their precious oil.
