You see? This topic was start about crisis in Estonia. But now I need show information about Stalin! Why?
I agree with you that the statue should remain where it is, but you introduced the term free Estonia from Hitler, which ignores the viewpoint of Estonians.

USSR and Germany signed a non-aggression treaty in 1939 (Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact), which included a secret provision dividing Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, and Romania between the two countries.

In 1940, Soviet troops moved into Estonia and annexed the country. The treaty with Germany ended when Hitler launched Operation Barbarossa in 1941, and German troops occupied Estonia until 1944, when Soviet troops reoccupied the country.

Given the process of Russification, and that their country was illegally annexed until 1991, I think Estonians would not hold the view that their country was "freed" during WWII.

Soldiers often get screwed during wars, especially when they fight for despots. Maybe the Russians should accept the fact that history is sometimes unpleasant, and just let it go.
