Bush is scheduled to fly on Friday to the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, about 1,000 miles north of Karachi, but his exact arrival time is being kept secret.

Islamabad -- a city of nearly 1,000,000 people (with almost 2,000,000 more in nearby Rawalpindi) -- could be a pretty quiet place on Friday (unless further fireworks erupt as a welcome to foreign dignataries).
