Well, my Minidisc recorder/player died the other day. Parental neglect, I have dropped it more times that I would care to admit.

So the very next day I bought a new one. Even better.

BLING BLING

Comes in Silver or Black. I bought the Black unit this time.

This baby can record LINEAR PCM - thats CD quality like a professional studio - and its only 100 grams!

THIS BABY HAS 90+ minutes of CD quality audio recording on each $5.00 1 GB disc, the discs weigh virtually nothing - great for the Met Opera, the short movie you are making, the jazz performers in the park, your garage band, or just about anything else. Unbelievably, the unit has a balanced pre-amp for a mic, thats what professional recording units in music studios have.

Or for listening to your CD or LP collection or MP3s etc, you can compress them and transfer up to 45 hours per disc, or for near-CD quality (but a lot better than standard MP3) you can record up to about 8 hours.

I know I should get an Ipod like everyone else, but really, these Minidiscs are super cool. Anyone else use them? They are very popular in Japan, also in Europe - probably not so much in NY (where everyone I see uses the equipment made by the WhitePodCartel).

More bling please guys - show it!
