OK. So this guy is out of work (so are a lot of others), has no health care (so do a lot of others) and so decides to rob a bank so he can go to prison and enjoy health care...

First off, if a regular law abiding citizen doesn't have it, why should the scum who infest our prisons get it?
Second, cudos to the DA for charging him with misdemeanor petty theft so the old man does NOT go to jail.. imo doing so would be a reward for him...
