Mind telling me how many episodes you´ve listened to ?
Because sure on one or the other show they just go with it, but most of the time it´s rather skeptical.
I listened to one of the newer Paracast episodes. Within the first 30 minutes or so one of the guys says something to the effect: "I am 60 years old I just don't have the patience for skeptics anymore." I continued to listen to them talk about a fellow colleague being caught falsifying evidence or something like that and other topics.

Unless I missed something, I think you may have the wrong idea about what exactly a skeptic is? Please clarify on this if I missed something.

Most skeptics agree that the idea of aliens is completely logical, although it is highly debatable about the evolved state or the galaxy population of other lifeforms, simple or complex. Most don't believe that aliens lifeforms have ever been seen, secretly or otherwise, because it cannot be empirically proven.

Logically, we are in a remote part of the galaxy, and the closest solar system, Alpha Centauri, is 4 light years (a distance of 1 year of traveling 186,000+ miles per seconds) or 275,000 astronomical units (a distance of from here to the sun) away. This is not to mention that Alpha Centauri has 2 stars and very little chance of life. The idea that some other advanced lifeform would visit us is highly unlikely as we, our solar system, has little to offer. This skeptical reasoning was even condescendingly mentioned in the podcast when the old guy made the remark I mentioned up above.

Skeptics are about hard sciences (things that can be proven), which includes debunking UFO sightings many times, paranormal/supernatural sightings or powers, homeopathy (alternative medicines), and religion. Things that do not hold up to criticism or being put under a microscope. Skeptics promote science and science understanding. It is about asking questions, finding the scientifically tested truths, and understanding the fallibility of our own brains.
