And there's the build in VR motor in the camera body. Since I doesn't have any in my D40 I have to buy all my Zoom lens with build-in VR in it which cost more...

but now I explain that my camera is only 6mp, doesn't have the VR motor in it and the ISO performance could be better on the D90 etc..[surrender]
Hi, I looked through your photos and you have some nice pictures. I just wanted to point out that the D90 does not have VR (vibration reduction) built into the body. It has a built-in focus drive motor. The D40 does not have that. So, the D40 cant auto-focus with older lenses and some of the newer lenses (the lenses need a built-in focus drive motor for the D40 to AF). The only dslr body's that have built in VR or IS (Image stabilization) are Olympus, Sony and, Pentax. For all other manufacturers if you want VR or IS you have to get it in the lens.

As for the 6mp vs 12mp, do you print? If you print large (16"x20" or larger) you will need more then 6mp. If you dont print large are dont print at all then, more mp is pointless.
