It's simple, insurance companies are run by idiots

They are not idiots at all, they are very shrewd people. If you think for one second that the decisions they make that screw us over are accidental in any way then you are the idiot.

Im not being funny, but what is wrong with that ?

The problem is that people are used to their home insurance replacing things with new products and expect the same from their motoring policy.
