Go re watch Alien. There is zero character development in that movie.

Clearly you haven't watched Alien. You learn quite a bit about Ripley, not to mention Ash, Parker, and Lambart.

No one has an arch in Prometheus. Just 17 generic characters who you either learn nothing about or they are 1-dimensional and flat.
