Well, just been driving home after picking little on up. Following a Peugeot 406 that was so bent out of shape it was untrue, obviously been in a major smash and the jig hadn't worked... as it's driving "forward" the whole car pointed to the right quite dramatically...

Anyway, I've seen a few like this lately... but not done anything about it. This time, seen my arse as it was a taxi with a family in it... which is a joke. So, just called the none emergency 101 police number we have in the UK now... and the women basically couldn't be arsed and couldn't understand what I was saying...

Pug "... so the car was bent, as in the chassis was twisted to one side"...

Police "... so the car drove sideways? What do you mean?"

Pug "... no, the car obviously was driving along a straight road BUT the chassis was twisted to the right badly as it looks like it's been in a car crash, twisted the car and they've not straightened it..."

Police "... So your saying it was bent...."

Pug "Yes... and IMHO, it's not road worthy carrying passengers, if it's in anther smash the car is already compromised structurally..."

Police "... are you a mechanic and is this your expert opinion?"

Pug "What?... I'm just simply saying I think it's dangerous... if you don't do anything about it and view the car, see if it's got MOT, see what's happened, people could die, it's dangerous.

Police "So, what do you think we should do, do you want to raise a complaint?"

Pug "I'm not the one to make that decision, I'm simply stating what I saw, I've given you the registration plate number, told you the facts, if you want to let a dangerous car on the road, that's your problem...?! Not sure what you want me to say..."

Police "OK... I'll state that you'd like the police to go around the car owners house and...."

Pug "hold on... I'm not saying anything... I'm stating what I saw... it's upto you guys what you want to do about it..."

Police " I'll raise an incident number on it... was the car mechanically sound?"

Pug "I don't know, I didn't stop to check... it was what I've previously stated".

Police "Incident number xxxxx... thanks for your call Mr Dodd...."... phone goes down...
